Matrix Educational Center was formed in 2001 as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Institute. Matrix has evolved into a career educational school dedicated to providing students with a variety of career training and education in a student-centered environment. Besides Nursing Assistant Training, we offer Home Health, Patient Care Techician and Early Childhood Education courses.
Our Mission is to assist students in developing the necessary skills to create strong ties in the community and build strong families. We encourage every student to strive for success in a diverse and changing community. So, whether you are looking for a full time professional, a part-time supplement or the security that comes from knowing that you have a marketable skill, Matrix can lead you through the pathways to success.
Matrix Educational Center is a Regional Testing Site for the CNA. We also test for National Healthcare Association and National Center for Competency Testing.
Enrollment
Matrix Educational Center's admissions is open to all applicants who desire to obtain a career skill in CNA, Home Health Aide, Patient Care Technician, Computers and Early Childhood Education. Each student meets with an Admissions Advisor to determine the best training to meet your goals and objectives. We have both day and Evening Classes.
We have open enrollment throughout the year. Please feel call us regarding the start date for each course.
Childcare and youth educational services are available for those students who have children. Childcare services are available during class hours and for clinicals. Children will be provided services such as tutoring, art, dancing and musis lessons. So not only will you further your education but the education of your children. We accept 4C and VPK.
Our Childcare is accepting applications for Teachers, Dance, Gymnastic and Music Instructors. Must be able to pass a background check.
Career Services
At Matrix career preparation begins long before graduation. Assistance is offered on job-seeking and job-keeping skills and techniques. In addition, you are advised of entry-level job openings and interview opportunities.
If you qualify, Matrix will use our extensive contacts and networking experience to connect you with part-time job opportunities that can help you finance your education and give you a unique opportunity to acquire valuable on-the-job skills and experience.
A job placement profile should be completed by each student at the time of enrollment.
Credit Policy
Matrix will give credit for previous education on a case-by-case basis. Each student’s transcript will be reviewed by our Admissions Director to determine eligibility for credit. Additionally, each student applying for credit will be tested by our lead instructor to determine their skill level for the course in which they are requesting entrance. Credit must be approved by the administrator.
Matrix Educational Center’s current administrative and academic policies were adopted by the Administration on June 15th, 2004. A copy of these policies is furnished in the student handbook.
